Karen and her staff provided excellent service for my 96 year old mother when she experienced a sudden cognitive decline and needed round the clock support for her safety and well-being. We had no worries while my family searched for the right place for her to live next. The First Light staff advocated for Mum’s needs and happiness at her retirement home, and went out of their way to ensure we were informed daily as to her activities and well-being. They were able to fit into the routines and activities of her current home, and made sure she was busy and kept up with her friends at meals. Excellent night-time care to assist my mom during the overnight hours, and the service has been outstanding. The caregivers are punctual, deeply respectful, and highly professional. They handle midnight medication, repositioning, and bathroom assistance with great care. It has given our entire family total peace of mind. Absolute lifesaver for our family. She is currently living in an independent living residence, but due to issues with dementia, needs guidance and assistance with everyday activities.  Karen was wonderful to work with, and spent a lot of time finding out all about my Mum and about what she would need.  FirstLight has also been good about communicating any absences, and providing replacement staff when needed.  They have understood our need for consistency, and worked hard to provide that.  Care provided by FirstLight has provided peace of mind for our family that my Mum is safe and cared for and treated with dignity.
